The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners or ACFE is an anti-fraud organization and the biggest in the world when it comes to training, educating, and certifying anti-fraud professionals. The scholarship program was created as a way for the organization to show their support for students who wish to advance in career paths related to anti-fraud professions through the various distance learning programs offered in different universities.

To apply for the said scholarship, applicants are asked to complete a 250-500 word original essay stating why he/she deserves to receive the grant. Also, the applicant must also state how fraud awareness will impact his/her career.  Aside from the essay, three recommendation letters will also be asked of the applicant with one of the three coming from a CFE or a Certified Fraud Examiner.
